LG Group’s tech arm brings Chainlink into Korea’s digital money push
@chainlink and LG CNS, the technology arm of LG Group, announced a strategic partnership on Thursday. LG CNS will add Chainlink’s tools for moving data and assets across blockchains to its digital asset platform for Korean institutions; the two will also work together on Korean stablecoins and local technical standards.
LG CNS is the lead contractor for the Bank of Korea’s Project Hangang, a digital currency pilot whose first phase involved about 80,000 customers across seven banks. LG Group holds ₩186 trillion (about $140B) in assets across 63 affiliates.
