That’s why Bloomberg Philanthropies has helped to create 13 new healthcare-focused high schools in 9 states. Through partnerships with local healthcare systems, public schools and post-secondary institutions, students have access to specialized classes, work-based learning at hospitals, and the opportunity to earn credentials and certifications. It was great to bring principals, teachers, healthcare leaders, employers and administrators together from these schools in New York this week to learn from each other.
