EGYPT IS BUILDING A NEW PYRAMID?! Egypt building Tutera City, the world’s first urban center dedicated primarily to space tourism. The project's centerpiece is a colossal pyramid featuring a 1,000-meter base and standing 650 meters tall—roughly four times the scale of the Great Pyramid of Giza. Architect Ashraf Abdel Mohsen designed the city to feel like a reconstruction of ancient Egypt, utilizing modern tools to replicate the era's original architectural styles, symbols, and hieroglyphs. His goal is to preserve Egyptian heritage rather than exploit it; he explicitly rejects the concept of "fake pyramids," such as those seen in Las Vegas, which serve only as commercial imitations. Instead, Abdel Mohsen envisions a structure that honors its ancestral purpose: acting as a gateway between humanity and the heavens. The pyramid will house the planet's largest astronomical observatory, anchored by a 30,000 m² underground research center. The city itself will be nestled in the space between the pyramid’s inner and outer walls, comprising ten residential hotel neighborhoods of 10 to 15 hectares each. Supporting this population will be three recreational districts, spanning 5 to 7 hectares apiece, which will provide essential services alongside the world's most advanced space telescopes.
