Spent a week in Sweden and threw some of my purchases on my @itstuyo card to test the Buy Now Pay Maybe feature that just went viral, where every purchase has a shot at coming back free. 26 purchases, $769.72 spent, and by the end of the trip 5 of them got refunded. That came out to $86.39 back, about 11% of everything I spent, basically free money from luck. What got me is how it rewires your spending, because with roughly 1 in 5 hitting, every tap feels like a scratch ticket and you catch yourself wanting to buy the next round just to see if it lands free. I would not trust that 11% to hold though, since that is a high cashback APY to sustain and probably just variance on a small sample. Fun experiment regardless, and it has me coming back to use the card
