Jane Fonda has rushed to defend actor Mark Ruffalo, saying:
“Calling his criticism antisemitic is a smear to delegitimize criticism of the merger and to distract from the question Paramount would rather not answer: Should one company be allowed to accumulate this much power over our movies, television and news?”
Talk about a strawman. Criticizing the merger because it's unwise to let one company hold a monopoly is fine. In fact, I think I even said that's a perfectly valid criticism that Ruffalo should be focusing on. Instead, he's going on rants about how the CEO's dad's company sells tech to Israel.
