Statistics Canada estimates that removing all interprovincial trade barriers could eventually add $92–200 billion to Canadian GDP. The IMF’s upper estimate is nearly 7% of real GDP.
What a message it would send if the premiers outlined a roadmap to get rid of these barriers, and "complete Canada." To paraphrase Munger, its time for us to take a simple idea and take it seriously.
Step 1: Complete Canada.
Step 2: Compete.
Step 3: Win.
