A 17-year-old decided to jump off Sunset Cliffs into the ocean while a crowd watched him slam into the ledge of the rocks and had to be rescued from the water. San Diego Fire-Rescue responded to the incident as well and transported the teen to a hospital; his injuries are unknown. Municipal codes prohibit jumping or diving into the Pacific Ocean or Mission Bay from any natural or human-made point connected to land that is more than five feet above the water.
