ALERT: American Airlines flight has to make an emergency landing after flames and smoke shoot from an engine.
A Boeing 737 was taking off from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to Charlotte, North Carolina, with 172 passengers and 9 crew members.
Shortly after takeoff, a pilot says, “Mayday, mayday, mayday. We’ve got an engine problem here.”
