A leader. A rescuer. A firefighter's firefighter.
After 41 years of service to New York City, Rescue 3 Lt. Mickey Conboy worked his final tour with the FDNY on May 15.
A native of the Bronx with family ties to public service, Lt. Conboy responded to some of the most challenging moments in FDNY history. He built a career defined by courage, mentorship and an unshakable sense of duty.
Thank you, Lieutenant, for four decades of service, sacrifice and dedication to the FDNY and the people of New York City. We wish you a happy well-earned retirement!
