Israel’s Likud party constitution committee approved a new proposal giving PM Netanyahu expanded powers to reserve candidates on the party’s electoral list and potentially cancel primaries if the security situation escalates, Kan News reports. The powers would take effect if the Home Front Command restricts public gatherings.
