FOX Business(@FoxBusiness):Uber has been ordered to pay $40 million to the family of a 23-year-old woman who was struck and killed after her rideshare driver ordered her out of his car on the side of a California freeway. An arbitrator found the driver "needlessly placed" Emily Normandin-Parker and her friend in danger, saying he showed "far more worry for his new car than he did for his passengers." Uber says its thoughts remain with the family and that it has continued strengthening its safety policies.
