What makes this slide even worse is the little trick trying to hedge the language: the speaker first make an offensive quote specifically targeting a particular nationality, then make the note that tries to exempt herself from the responsibility, or equivalently “I didn’t say it, you said it yourself”.
It is rather unfortunate to see language technique is used in this way 🙃
