I’ve decided what I’m diving into next. @aave. I’ve been using and following Aave for quite some time, but there’s still a lot I want to understand on a deeper level. How did it start? How did ETHLend evolve into one of the largest lending protocols in DeFi? And how did Aave go from a relatively simple lending idea to the architecture we see today? That’s what I want to explore in this series. From the early days of ETHLend to Aave V4, I’ll go through the history, mechanics, risk management, governance, GHO, liquidity and the economic ideas behind the protocol. I’m especially interested in understanding what happens underneath the surface when someone supplies an asset, borrows against collateral or gets close to liquidation. There’s a lot to unpack.
