Abigail Robertson Allen delivers remarks at Rededicate 250 on the National Mall:
"From the Founding through today, God hears our prayers and miracles still happen. I know because I interview those who have experienced them in war, in sickness, and in tragedy.
On August 28th, 2013, the Taliban attacked Master Sergeant Earl Plumlee's camp in Afghanistan. Sergeant Plumlee decided to sacrifice himself to save others.
He rushed toward enemy forces without cover and with only a pistol to defend himself. The Taliban fired over 300 bullets at him from just yards away, but miraculously, he was never hit. When I asked him who was praying for him, he told me the night before the attack, his mom's Bible study prayed for divine protection for him.
God saved him when nothing else could."
