June 28, 2026 Ukraine struck two Russian oil refineries overnight in the Krasnodar and Yaroslavl regions, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The strikes are part of Kyiv’s campaign targeting Russia’s fuel infrastructure. Day 1,582 of their 3 day special military operation appears to be going badly for Russia. Ukraine fought a border war and did not attack the interior of Russia in order not to appear the aggressor. That has changed.  Zelenskyy is attacking heavily in Russia's interior, a 40 day offensive. He and his war planners have it all figured out even if we do not know the plans. He is blowing up Russia's oil reserves one refinery at a time, every night. Bomb the drone factories. Bomb the ports. Bomb the railroads. It's happening now. A lot of historians have talked about how much worse off the US would have been in the Pacific had the Japanese hit the fuel oil storage at Pearl Harbor. For whatever reason they didn't target it. There are years where weeks happen and there are weeks where years happen. We’re in the weeks of years part right now I think. There's no way Russia can continue holding on like this.
