The Polish Border Guard reported that on June 15, officers intercepted a passenger car carrying five Pakistani nationals just before the Polish-German border. Border Guard officers determined that the migrants held Lithuanian asylum documents; consequently, they were handed over to Lithuanian authorities under readmission procedures.
The driver, a 21-year-old Ukrainian national, was charged with organizing illegal border crossings from Lithuania into Poland, and subsequently from Poland into Germany. He was also charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants. A deportation order has since been issued against the 21-year-old.
