I found a hospital bracelet in my wife’s car.
It had her name on it.
The date was yesterday.
I asked her about it.
She looked confused.
“I wasn’t at a hospital yesterday.”
I showed her the bracelet.
She immediately took it from me.
Then she threw it away.
I asked why.
She said:
“It doesn’t matter.”
That made me suspicious.
I checked the trash after she went to bed.
The bracelet was gone.
