The trouble wirh Alex arguments is that it always immediately spirals to the extreme, wirh connotations of hate and violence. The indigenous British people, as well as 3rd and 4th gen post war migrants, just want a country where they're not working 50 hours a week to pay for foreign born indigenous criminals. Poor people in working class towns want to be able to get work and housing and not have to compete with thousands of foreign born staff, they want their little girls to be able to go to the park without being accosted for sex. There is middle ground. Just like there was with the trans debate - pointing out a man in a dress is a man in a dress, never meant they wanted trans genocide or anyone dead, but, changing thier birth certificate or passport, didnt magically make them a non predatory female either. And she knows this. Words matter. And someone who's a "proud Nigerian", even if born here, would be celebrated, but saying you're a "proud Englishman" seems to invoke mouth frothing levels of hysteria. Like with trans, women have been forced to start producing evidence of crime, in order to justify their position, and thats what now happening to British people - they're now having to produce crime statistics to justify why they dont want their lives to change from what they were.
