Someone has finally fixed instant messaging by making it take several days A new iOS app called Carrier Pidge lets you send messages via virtual carrier pigeons flying at 110 mph, with delivery times based on the real-world distance between you and the recipient. Live 3,000 miles apart? Enjoy watching your digital pigeon slowly cross the country on a map while your message remains completely undelivered. And because apparently waiting wasn't stressful enough, there's a 0.2% chance your pigeon simply dies en route and the message never arrives. And if pigeons aren't your thing, there's another app called Roost that offers different types of bird delivery or even a tortoise or snail. Humanity spent 150 years making communication instantaneous. The developer of Carrier Pidge looked at that achievement and thought: needs more pigeons. Source: Dextero / Writer: Ian
