🇩🇪🇮🇱 Ben-Gvir is speedrunning ways to embarrass even the countries that back Israel.
He wants “targeted killings” in Gaza, saying 30 or 40 Palestinians should be “removed” every night.
And no, he wasn’t only talking about militants posing an immediate threat.
He straight up said there are people in Gaza who don’t deserve to live.
Germany heard that and basically went, alright, this is too much.
Chancellor Friedrich Merz called his comments “inhumane,” while his deputy Lars Klingbeil said Germany can’t just stay quiet because it supports Israel.
Now sanctions against Ben-Gvir are being talked about at the European level.
Germany has stood by Israel through a lot. Getting Berlin to publicly say you’ve crossed the line takes some doing.
