🇩🇪🇺🇸 Germany just CANCELED a planned Merz-Trump call at the last minute... Chancellor Friedrich Merz was supposed to speak with Trump today, with the call tied to the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Berlin gave no reason for pulling it, and there’s no new date yet. But the timing is pretty interesting. Trump had just celebrated the populist right’s big showing in Saxony-Anhalt, posting “Wow!” and calling it a “really big night.” Then he threw in “MGGA” too, apparently meaning “Make Germany Great Again.” Asked if that had anything to do with the canceled call, Merz’ spokesman wouldn’t go there. He did, however, point back to Merz’ position that outside commentary or interference in German elections is “out of the question” for him.
