No one would have predicted in 2009 that Twitter would become more important than the New York Times. If you publicly said that, people would have mocked you. The level headed pragmatists would have written you off as a pie in the sky loony. That’s where we are at with crypto today. It’s taken longer than we thought to achieve some of crypto’s loftier promises, so people adjusted their expectations town. The irony is that we are right on the cusp of winning. Within five years, some companies will launch tokens over listing on the Nasdaq. CEX and DEX volumes will rival, if not overtake, the NYSE. Vast swaths of corporate and government infrastructure will be brought onchain. Trillions of dollars of real world assets will migrate onchain. The supercycle is here, it’s just not what you thought it would look like.
