Who can relate when married to an engineer: I stopped asking for help when the TV breaks because he starts at the top-left of the menu and methodically tests every single option in order, philosophically opposed to the concept of “most likely culprit.” He will not skip. He will not guess. He will debug my Apple TV like it’s a Mars rover. Honestly, throwing the remote on the floor fixes it 50% of the time — which is 50% more than his method has ever achieved in the 0.0000001% of cases he’s finished before I’ve given up and gone to bed.
