🚨🇷🇺 ZELENSKY IN PANIC: RUSSIA’S INOKHODETS DRONE HUNTS TARGETS FOR 24 HOURS STRAIGHT
Russia built the Inokhodets — its military version of the Orion MALE UAV — to deliver long-endurance recon and precision strikes. From prototypes to combat runs in Syria and now Ukraine, Moscow replaced Western engines and components under heavy sanctions to create a fully domestic system.
🔸 With endurance of up to 24 hours, a 7,500-metre ceiling and roughly 200 kg of payload, the Inokhodets can remain over the battlefield for extended surveillance, identify targets, laser-designate them for other weapons, and carry out its own precision strikes.
🔸 It runs on a fully domestic APD-115T piston engine instead of the earlier Austrian Rotax, and can carry KAB-50 guided bombs or the Kh-BPLA missile with a reported 10 km range from modular stations under the wings.
🔸 Combat testing in Syria helped refine its integration with the Strelets-M ground system, allowing forward teams to pass target coordinates directly to the drone for rapid strikes and immediate battle damage assessment.
🔸 In Ukraine, the Inokhodets is mainly used for surveillance and artillery correction in areas where enemy air defences have been weakened or suppressed, since its size and speed make it vulnerable to intact medium-range SAM systems.
🔸 Russia has built a major new production facility in Dubna with over 4 billion roubles invested and plans for more than 1,500 jobs. The plant is now scaling up output of the Inokhodets, the larger Sirius variant and other heavy UAVs, with priority for Russian forces while export versions remain available.
