It feels inevitable that open source will become a larger piece and that there will be a few winners, but it may not just be Anthropic or OpenAI. Meta coming out of nowhere with Muse is a good example. Grok got a late start but is now a leader. Google, Apple, and Microsoft all feel very far behind but could easily make AI a focus. Point is, we should encourage the innovation and trust the market to bring new players. If margins really are 90%, that will attract competition. The only way to ensure there are only a few winners is to heavily regulate it now.

AI isn’t going away. Barring unprecedented global government coordination, it isn’t even slowing down. The only real decision is whether to centralize power, or disperse it. Do you fear the technology? Or a small number of people controlling the technology?
