A Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ owner reports that their warranty claim was denied after the graphics card’s power adapter melted.
The user experienced crashes while playing Battlefield 6. Upon inspection, they found that the included 12V-2x6 power adapter had melted. According to the owner, the cable was fully plugged in and no modifications were made.
The graphics card was sent to Sapphire for inspection. After testing it for 48 hours, the company found that the GPU worked normally and rejected the warranty claim. The same card was returned without a replacement adapter.
Apparently, other users have shared similar cases involving Sapphire’s blue-tipped adapter.
