A Steam Machine owner who recently experienced the “Red Line of Death” has shared a update: the console is working again after being left turned off overnight.
The issue first appeared after about 20 minutes of gameplay, with Valve’s diagnostic light pointing to a possible GPU failure.
Since the system started working normally the next day without repairs, the problem is now believed to be related to firmware or BIOS rather than faulty hardware.
The owner advises anyone facing the same issue to turn the system off and leave it alone for a while before assuming it is permanently broken.
