The console uses two Noctua fans, server-grade heatsinks and custom ducting. During testing, the CPU reached 40°C and the RSX 42°C, with the fans at only 24% of max speed. The RSX runs at 750 MHz core and 1,000 MHz memory, compared with about 500 MHz and 650 MHz on a standard PS3. The modder says almost every game tested gets an FPS boost.
