Pocketpair says it doesn’t want to turn Palworld into a Fortnite-style metaverse.
The studio wants to make separate games when an idea works better on its own. That’s why projects like Palfarm, the dating sim, and the upcoming MMO can be standalone games rather than just new modes inside Palworld.
Pocketpair publishing head John “Bucky” Buckley says:
“We just want to make fun games in our own way”
“Maximizing revenue as quickly as possible isn’t what drives our creative decisions.”
Buckley also says Pocketpair is still “100% self-owned” and “100% self-funded,” despite Palworld’s huge success.
