Book recommendation. “The Fourth Turning” by William Howe and William Strauss.
History moves in cycles, each one lasting about (80-100 years) the length of a long human life. Each cycle is composed of four twenty to twenty five year eras or “turnings”.
Each turning comprises history’s seasonal rhythm of growth, maturation, entropy and rebirth.
Just as there are 4 four seasons in a year there are four turnings in a cycle of history.
