American taxpayers deserve to know exactly what illegal immigration is costing Medicare. Our American Citizenship Healthcare Integrity Act requires hospitals participating in Medicare to ask patients their citizenship status at intake. Hospitals will then report to HHS how many illegal aliens received care and the total cost of uncompensated care provided to them. Every year, HHS must publicly release a report showing exactly how much uncompensated care goes to illegal aliens and what it costs taxpayers. American taxpayers fund these programs to take care of AMERICAN citizens. They deserve to see, in black and white, what illegal immigration is costing the system built for them. This madness has to end, and it starts with forcing transparency and accountability with our bill.
