🚨 LISTEN TO EVERY WORD OF THIS SPEECH. Marco Rubio is talking about the terrible mistake America made with manufacturing. But listen again and think about America’s SKILLED WORKFORCE. We were told it didn’t matter WHERE things were made. Find the lowest cost. Maximize efficiency. Maximize profits. Then we woke up and realized we had hollowed out our own industrial capacity and become dangerously dependent on other countries. Now we’re being told something remarkably similar about our skilled workforce. It doesn’t matter WHO develops the software, engineers the systems, analyzes the data or builds the technology. Just find the talent wherever it comes from. Meanwhile, American graduates are trying to break into these careers while employers can recruit through H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT and CPT. Here’s the lesson I take from Rubio’s speech: A country’s capacity isn’t just its factories. It’s its PEOPLE. Their skills. Their experience. Their knowledge. Their careers. Rubio says 21st-century reindustrialization will require workers with MORE skills and more education. So let’s build that capacity here. Train Americans. Hire Americans. Develop Americans. We spent decades learning what happens when we outsource our industrial capacity.
