Here’s what just happened with
@heydittoai and
@sebyrubino for anyone who missed it:
Ditto terminated its relationship with Seby and demanded the return of the subnet coldkey.
@sebyrubino said he had put roughly $80K into the company and also claimed he was owed validator income + 5% equity. His proposed settlement was $105K, and in his own email he said the coldkey would be transferred once compensation was settled.
@heydittoai told a completely different story: Seby was only a third-party custodian, had no ownership interest in the key, and Beyond Finance was the rightful owner.
Ditto then issued a formal demand for the key and said the dispute was delaying a major investment and the launch of V2.
It all played out publicly.
Now
@heydittoai says:
Coldkey secured.
Whatever happens next between Ditto and
@sebyrubino over money, equity or contracts is a separate fight.
The key is back.
Ditto can move forward.
Now it’s back to building.
One of the crazier Bittensor disputes I’ve watched unfold in real time.
Five days ago, we formally terminated our business relationship with Seby and demanded the immediate return of the Cold Key.
Seby held the Cold Key solely as a third-party custodian. He has never had any ownership interest or buy-in. The rightful owner is Beyond Finance.
We have already offered fair compensation for the services he provided and remain willing to settle any properly owed amounts.
The Cold Key must be returned first. We have issued a formal demand letter requiring its transfer to the rightful owner within 24 hours. If it is not returned, we will pursue all available legal remedies.
This continued withholding is delaying a significant investment and the launch of V2. Our priority is simple: the return of the Cold Key so Ditto and Beyond Finance can move forward together in full alignment.
We thank the community for its patience. We remain focused on building the frontend operating system for Bittensor.
