In midterm election years since 1930, the S&P 500’s median maximum drawdown during the calendar year is roughly 17% and the average is about 19%. That lines up with the model that I have been tracking. Given my weekly signals are now bearish, monthly signals are pointing straight down, is a major warning sign that this model may just come to fruition. This model is calling for a 18% drop on $SPY in the next 4 months.
