U.S. Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs(@US_SrAdvisorAF):Welcomed the meeting and in-depth conversation about Sudan with UN Personal Envoy for Sudan Pekka Haavisto. We discussed his tireless work to advance peace in Sudan and U.S. support for his efforts through the Quintet. We also shared ideas on ways we can work together and with the Quintet to advance and facilitate an inclusive Sudanese-led and Sudanese-owned national civilian dialogue, a critical step towards peace in Sudan. We appreciate also his great cooperation on our efforts to push for a humanitarian truce push for a comprehensive resolution of Sudan's conflict.
