Asked by @dee_bosa whether an always-on AI agent will be too expensive to sustain, Nadella says it still consumes tokens. Someone has to pay for that usage.
“There’s a certain amount of subsidy anyone can do.”
He says the business models come down to subscriptions, pay-as-you-go, advertising or transactions.
But covering the cost is only part of it. The user needs to get value back.
“At the end of the day, this all has to be about the return that the user gets,” whether that’s a consumer or a business.
