Cover is working on weapon detection systems as K-12 school shootings have increased 10x over the last decade - I’m confident this can help if we can get enough of them out at scale (there are 130,000 K-12 schools in the U.S.) The goal is to detect weapons underneath clothes and inside of bags - all guns are concealed as they’re brought into schools. You have to be able to detect them We’re making meaningful progress on our next-generation weapon imaging system. This is now the 3rd large architecture we’ve developed in two years The gun image shown here was captured from 1 meter away, and we’re now working to generate this at much further distances. It’s a bit of a breakthrough to know we can get images this clean in this new design. This architecture will support what I think we’ll need for affordable systems at schools
