Ankit Gupta(@agupta):common misperception. west coast liberals and east coast liberals are extremely different, especially on taxes. In Massachusetts I pay about 1/2 the state tax rate and about 1/3 the property tax rate I would in CA. Cambridge just upzoned the entire city, so more homes can be built legally in Cambridge than the rest of MA and tbh i would bet all of California. It has the same zoning as Paris now. also there are very few homeless people and many homeless shelters, though could ofc be even better. The public schools are the best in the country. it's night and day because the government actually does their job and takes taxation seriously.
