Today we remember Melvin Cravitz and Adrian Daulby, who were killed in a despicable act of antisemitic terror.
My thoughts are with their families and all those who were affected by that terrible day at Heaton Park Synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
Melvin and Adrian's deaths demand more than remembrance. Jewish people must be able to live, worship and participate fully in public life without fear. We must all unite behind that vision.
I will continue to do everything in my power to protect Jewish communities from this threat.
We cannot simply ask people to live behind higher walls. We must tackle antisemitism at its source and root it out wherever it rears its head.
