What kind of man gets so worked up over a football match that he turns on his own partner? What sort of person uses a game as an excuse to inflict fear and violence in their own home only cowards would do that. There is a clear link between the matches, and the spike in abuse. The final whistle should never be the start of someone else’s nightmare.
