Pennsylvania State Trooper Michael Pahira Jr. was doing his job on I-81, conducting a commercial vehicle inspection, when authorities say Michael Bon’s tractor-trailer veered onto the shoulder, hit the mirror of Pahira’s patrol truck, slammed into the stopped tractor-trailer, and struck the trooper. DHS says Bon was a Haitian national whose parole had already been terminated. Yet somehow, according to the article, he was still in the country. Somehow, he had been issued a non-domiciled commercial driver’s license in Massachusetts.
