Three black Tampa teens are being charged as adults after "hate crime" where a homeless man was beaten nearly to de*th because they were “bored" - so where's the media?!?!?! Samari Bryant is 13. On July 13 in Tampa, Florida, they told investigators they went looking for homeless people to “mess with” because “they were bored.” Around 7:45 a.m., officers on patrol found a 64-year-old hispanic man on the ground near the Walgreens at 3917 N. Nebraska Ave. His face was split open and his nose was knocked sideways. Doctors treated a traumatic brain injury and broken ribs and put him on a ventilator. He could not speak to detectives. His name has not been released. Hours earlier on East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, the same group is accused of hitting a woman in the back of the head with a rock. Deputy Chief Patrick Messmer did not call it kids being kids. “These were hate crimes, targeting individuals, specifically because they were homeless.” He added, “Boredom never justifies brutality.” Hillsborough State Attorney Lopez is direct-filing second-degree attempted m*rder in adult court and moving them from juvenile detention to an adult facility with no bond. “These defendants went looking for a homeless person to target because they were bored.” Lopez also said, “No human being should be treated as a target for someone else’s entertainment.” They already had six auto-burglary counts from Emma Street that same stretch.
