I once heard someone say, “Couples shouldn’t have separate hobbies. If you love each other, you should want to do everything together.”
Meanwhile, my husband and I have happily accepted that I can spend three hours doing absolutely nothing while he gets excited about the most random thing imaginable.
You don’t need to share every hobby, every interest, or every little obsession to have a strong relationship.
Sometimes loving someone means giving them space to enjoy the things that make them happy—even when you don’t understand the appeal.
