BREAKING: NASA Chief Jared Isaacman says America leads the world in reusable rockets as NASA moves to build a Moon base, and SpaceX’s Starship could help turn it into a small city. “We’re building a moon base… We looked at how transformational reusable rockets have been here just meeting our low Earth orbit requirements. Falcon 9 was a total game changer… We’re going to leverage reusable rockets to build the moon base… Then you’ve got the heavy lift vehicles like what Starship is capable of doing, which is fully reusable. That’s what allows you to put lots of mass on the surface of the moon. That’s what will take it from a small little outpost to potentially something that may even look like a small city someday… We’ve made a ton of progress. America leads the world in this regard… SpaceX has recovered more than 600 of their boosters by bringing them back in a spectacular way to land on ships and land back on land… Once you have reusable upper stages like Starship is doing, you’re not going to be throwing them away. You’re going to be turning them, landing them on the moon, and they’re going to contribute to the city block you’re trying to build on the lunar surface.”
