Those annotations and exploded views help him and the whole team inspect coded interactions from every angle. This is helpful because the Rovo Omnibar is one of those components that is a lot more complex than it looks at first glance. It's also a great example of using multiple tools and working with multiple designers (props to Deborah Lindberg and Dan Hoolahan as well). Plenty of care for detail and no one-shots.
