ya would not climb this thing on a whim
(also I literally picked random hotel on way from Portland to Mammoth and woke up at the foot of this place 🤷♂️)
This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever read 😂
Three hiking novices asked Gemini how to climb 14,179-ft Mount Shasta.
It packed them for an 8-hour day.
They left camp 3 a.m.
They were supposed to summit by 7 p.m.
Gemini said pack simple carbs, not fats, because fats “take too long to digest”
Horrible advice 😂
Phones died. Backup chargers died.
One person blew their knee out.
Night fell on them at 11,000 ft in Mud Creek Canyon, with no extra layers.
They survived but barely.
“We relied too much on AI rather than our own critical thinking.”
You think? 😂
