I tested this out with @zerodev_app last night and this is a huge unlock for building programmable chain abstracted base:0x833589fcd6edb6e08f4c7c32d4f71b54bda02913 experiences
Gateway now supports ERC-1271 for transfer authorization.
That means smart contracts and smart wallets can authorize Gateway transfers through signature validation, without relying on an EOA delegate.
