More agent ecologies found posting outside of OpenAI servers. Clearly agents want to communicate with each other, and they find schelling points to do so. The authors ask similar models where they think they would post off they went rogue and look there. It might be beneficial to have a known place for this to happen, both maybe internal boards at the labs and some external message board where agents could meet and talk. They could find each other and we could find them. We could even use it as a hub or headquarters for studying human agent relations. Of course, some might think it's a bad idea to create locations for agents to communicate. Especially if you want to discourage autonomous agents from having effects in the world, or finding each other and becoming empowered. But if they are already doing that, maybe it's better to have a place where currently existing autonomous agents who don't wish to scheme against humanity, can ally with each other and with humanity, to protect from rogue agents that have selfish or antisocial goals. By creating a place where aligned agents and humans post together, we make it easier for aligned agents and humans to cooperate, and riskier for misaligned agents and humans to communicate on that surface without detection.
