Fox News: Public health officials are investigating a surge in cases of a severe intestinal disease. It's caused by a microscopic parasite called Cyclospora. Last year, the CDC made Cyclospora data reporting optional to allow food safety staff to prioritize so-called "core activities." The CDC has now confirmed infections in 31 states.
