🚀 SpaceX keeps making Raptor better by doing something that sounds backwards: removing more stuff. @TeslaLarry points to Elon’s explanation of how Raptor went from V1 to V2 to V3. SpaceX removed extra lines, wiring, sensors, avionics boxes, igniters, and a bunch of bolted connections. Fewer parts means less weight, fewer places for leaks, and a much cleaner engine. But getting there isn’t easy. You have to understand every single part well enough to know what you can combine, simplify, or completely get rid of. That’s what makes Raptor 3 so interesting. It looks simple because SpaceX did a ridiculous amount of engineering to make it simple. $SPCX
